This site is about marriage, and is based on the belief that every marriage can be better.  

That's me in the middle

If you want to have a marriage which a year from now is better than today, I trust you will find some helps here. Helps based off of my own life, my work with other married couples, many great books and speakers, timeless wisdom as well as new research.



My big picture idea is that of knowing and getting what you want out of marriage by giving the other person what they want.  But if life were really so simple it wouldn't be very interesting.  Simple ideas are rarely easy in our complex world, but often the most helpful.  Most of what I will encourage you to consider isn't rock science, but a fair share of it goes against our natural instincts.  And there will be pieces which will fly right in the face of what our culture says.  You will hear advice you might not hear from co-workers, buddies, some counselors or friends.


That is as it should be.  If the people all around us have it all figured out, divorce rates wouldn't be hanging around 50% and most everyone we know would be sharing how great their marriage is.

                                      However,
If you live like the world lives,
      you will likely be broke.
If you live like the world lives,
      you will likely be overweight
If you live like the world lives,
      you will likely not have an awesome marriage
If you live like the world lives,
      you will likely not experience true joy

To have a better life, you need to live differently.  You need to view things differently.  You need to understand things differently.  I hope the weekly bits and pieces on this site help move your marriage out of normal into abnormal.   Making your marriage the source of love, support, fulfillment and joy which God intends marriages to be.
